Abandoned as an office building in the early 2000s, the former Bank of Greece was transformed into the Julian Hotel. Working for two subsequent owners and eventually with W.E. O’Neil, Central Building restored the ornate east and west terra cotta facades, completely rebuilt the lower three floors of the Michigan Avenue streetfront, and performed extensive restoration of the north and south brick elevations. Central received the prestigious Restoration Project of the Year from the Masonry Advisory Council.
