It took decades of Chicago style weather − wind driven rain, sleet and snow that penetrated walls − to broaden the tuck pointing business into the business of façade rehabilitation. Surface abrasion, the trigger for tuck pointing and recaulking, led to a need for masonry reconstruction, replacement of failed supporting steel, anchors and ties and restoration or replacement of architectural detailing as they succumbed to rust and age.
Central Building & Preservation is uniquely qualified in its industry to evaluate and remediate conditions requiring the most complex and historically sensitive restoration and renewal. Our staff, including licensed engineers and professionals, has unmatched expertise in effecting cost-efficient, high-quality and durable repairs.
