The Cedar Hotel was built in 1924, demolished in 2015, and subsequently reconstructed and transformed between 2015 and 2017 with the addition of a gleaming 15 story glass tower on the western part of the site and a fully restored ornamental brick and terra cotta façade. In the fall of 2015, Central removed, salvaged, cleaned and stored the 8,000 bricks and 1,300 pieces of terra cotta that make up the façade while the glass tower was being built. In the spring of 2017, while the tower was nearing completion, Central re-constructed the façade.
